Five Things To Remember On July 3

1. Pope Francis has named Auxiliary Bishop Edgar da Cunha, S.D.V., of Newark, 60, as Bishop of Fall River, Massachusetts, and accepted the resignation of Bishop George Coleman, 75, from pastoral governance of that diocese.

2. The World Youth Day logo for 2016 in Krakow has been released. Take a look.

3. As Americans mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act, the USCCB Secretariat for Cultural Diversity in the Church has launched a 50th anniversary Initiative, to encourage the faithful to reflect on how the lessons and legacy of the civil rights era continue to shape us today as Catholics and faithful citizens.

4. Tomorrow brings about the conclusion of the Fortnight for Freedom 2014. Watch the concluding Mass on EWTN from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., at 12:10 p.m. with celebrant Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, and homilist Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville, president of the USCCB.

5. God loves you.
